How fun a gift was this!! The birds love it and I do too! Works great.
Debby D.
Watching the birds feed at close range is awesome!
Sue F.
My daughter gave me this for Christmas. I absolutely love it!
Lori B.
One of the best Christmas presents given! My momma loved it!
Melody N.
Got this for Christmas and absolutely love it!!
Gail R.
This is a present so I cannot say until after Christmas.
Debbie C.
Arrived before Christmas so I’m happy, worried about keeping squirrels off of it but hey the more action the better! It’s already wrapped and under the tree!
Michael M.
It was such a good gift

Camera works great. It was easy to install the feeder on my existing feeder pole. I bought a 3rd party solar panel to keep it charged and so far so good. IR function works well as does detection function.
Only funky thing was the share setup, as there is no indication of when or if the QR code for sharing is accepted.
Jeanne H.
Item arrived in time frame promised and in perfect condition. Can’t wait to give it to my dad for Christmas!
Kealey D.
Love our Birdfy camera- purchased it for my Dad for Father's Day! Kelly from Netvue was great and helped me out with any questions or concerns I had!

(this is the link that was sent to me to write a review for the Netvue birdfeeder, however I realize that it is for the arm attachment!)
I have been working with Rachel, from customer service, and she has been an excellent representative! She has by been helping me figure out how to better use my Netvue birdfeeder! The pictures are amazing! The camera has great range and although the AI has been a bit challenging, I am enjoying watching the birds that appear on my birdfeeder every day!

Good product for bird watchers and lovers.

Ok so the camera itself is great. Video quality is really good even at night.
The AI on the other hand is awful at identifying birds. In the same video snippet it'll identify the exact same bird as several different birds. In one video I had a Cardinal correctly identified in one image and then in the next it was identified as a flamingo.
In another video some bird seed got identified as a penguin.
The AI needs to take into account where people live.
Fortunately, you can report inaccuracies but it is a shame I've had to do it for 90% + of their identifications.
Heidi Thiel
This is seriously the most amazing camera/bird feeder. I spend hours everyday watching all the different birds visit. I have to refill the food everyday I have so many visitors. The solar panel works great so I never have to worry about charging the battery. I don't miss out on any activity this way. Netvue customer service has been so helpful with all my questions too. I can't recommend this product enough.
James Thielen
A great camera for viewing ethe birds. The bird identification that is used is not very accurate but teh camera and ability to view and record birds feeding is great. WOuld buy again.
Master Gardener Wannabe
Easy to install. Easy to connect. Motion detection is perfect. Even in our very shaded windy area it does not pick up random motions, but only birds. Solar panel so far works perfectly as well. Everybody is commenting on the identification. Take it seriously. They should not even advertise the ability of this camera to do that. Do not buy this for that purpose! I’ve spent a lot of time sending correct identification of birds in their feedback section. Still, it does not even correctly identify Robins, Blue Jays or house sparrows. Occasionally it literally tells us that we have a California condor… On a birdfeeder… In Indiana!
Jerry Brown
I like the feeder and the camera video quality is great. Love that it's solar as well. Only reason I'm giving 4 stars is cause the identification software is super sloppy. I currently have house finches feeding which it has properly identified, but also keeps misidentifying. Over a period of 10 seconds calls the same bird at least 5 different things. And some are so far off it doesn't even make sense. App Notifications can be a bit much as well, but there is a cooldown option if you don't want your phone buzzing every 5 to 10 seconds when a bird is feeding.
Mark B.
Wonderful product. Easy step and very good pictures and videos.
Dennis H.
The camera and feeder work great and produce nice videos of the birds at the feeder but the primary birds at the feeder right now are male and female Black Headed Grosbeaks and the AI has never properly identified them. It has even said the female was a golden eagle. It also has failed to identified any other of the birds correctly. Luckily, AI was not the main reason I wanted the Bird cam.
Derek S.
I love this bird cam. I bought it for my fiancé for her birthday. The bird recognition AI is ok...but it seems to always be getting better. One thought is if they take into effect the location of the feeder...that would weed out some of the incorrect labels. Also, I bought the solar charger, but I am not thrilled with it. It appears you cannot charge the camera with it plugged in which sort of defeats the entire purpose. Unless we are doing something wrong. I still gave 5 stars because the camera is SO COOL! It is so neat to see all the birds we've always seen from afar right up close and in person. The camera itself is amazingly high quality.
BRIAN P.
It is a neat device but has a long way to go with the AI. Predictions are often wrong and out of context for this region. I expect it to get better with customer feedback but that will take a while.
Build quality is good, all plastic, but that's good for inclement weather. Came with multiple options for attaching it to a tree or post. WiFi connection not as good as other NetVue cameras I have, so had to be more selective of placement than I originally planned.
I am also using the solar panel for power, which is awesome. Highly recommend that.
T. L. Graff
Love seeing the birds on video, the pictures are so clear I zoom in and take screenshots. I have the solar charger so battery is no problem. The identification definitely needs to do better and the reason for only 4 stars.
The customer service was phenomenal.
Megan
?I've had two of these. First one i had to return and honestly it didn't seem as well made as this second one. Let me tell you, if you are a backyard birdwatcher, this thing offers priceless viewing.
I've learned a few quirks it has that I think can help others. Never, ever let that battery drain to 0 and go offline. That was it for the 1st one. Lights out! There's no coming back from it.
And yes, I had the solar panel...in AZ.
Which brings me to my next point. Careful with the battery life. Don't allow the motion sensor to overload the charging ability of the solar panel. Either that or have an extension cord ready to give it a full charge when needed.
Thats really it. This 2nd one took awhile to arrive...but it swivels easier, there was a strap included which wasn't in the first. The camera isn't as quirky, the first had to reset multiple times.
5 stars because of what it brings to my life. Pure joy!!!!
Andres C.
I was very excited to get this cam and try it out.
I got it on June 24th.
I went and set it right up, worked beautifully.
Not sure why but the birds were hesitant to come at first, I was not able to catch any of the birds on video.
on June 26th it rained a whole lot, the camera did just fine, no interruptions on the live feed, and the battery lasts a long time.
on June 28th I was finally able to see action, a Peregrine Falcon showed up.
I would really like for Netvue to support me we to get one for this cameras to my daughters elementary school, I think it would be awesome for the kids to have a monitor to learn bout local species.
really love the camera, and really enjoyed the experience, I highly recommend it. Specially for an ecolodge at the beach or mountain.
Lauren T.
Camera and feeder are good but the identification is completely incorrect — not even remotely close on all accounts (geographical location, shape, size). Everyday, New England birds (blue birds, chickadees, finches) being identified as PENGUINS, etc. Skip if that’s what you’re purchasing for — hopefully the AI will improve with user input over time.
Jonah K.
We love the birdhouse. It’s fairly easy to install and the solar panel does a good job keeping it charged. The camera occasionally drops the Wi-Fi and needs to be re-paired but not often. The camera is great- nice sharp images and the notifications work well.
I will say that the AI that identifies the birds needs work. It frequently misidentifies birds- it sometimes identifies birds as species that don’t exist in North America. On more than one occasion it has identified a bird (and once, my son’s finger as he adjusted the camera) as an ostrich.
James T.
The bird feeder cam is great but I have sent a question into the manufacture without response.
Peter
Easy to set up, picture and video quality good. AI is a joke. The photo I selected is nothing like a robin and it tells me common Arizona birds are condors or flamingos. Hasn’t got one right yet
John B.
Only issue is it goes off line often but always come back
Casey P.
It’s a great feeder and camera quality. We love to watch the videos. HOWEVER, the recognition technology is terrible
Bryce L.
So, the feeder is great all around. However, the solar charger has a glitch such that when you plug it in, it will not connect to wifi. So, you have to leave the solar panel unplugged to watch live footage, rendering the solar panel pretty much useless.
Tiffany E.
Cannot connect to use. Cannot get through to support.
Angie K.
Purchased for my Mom’s birthday. It was easy set up and my parents love watching the birds. It doubles as a security camera too.
Josiah Spaulding
Camera is incredibly blurry, constantly disconnects from WiFi, and the bird AI literally can't tell the difference between a Cardinal and an Albatross.
Will G.
I was really excited about this camera and I still really like it, but the bird accuracy is laughable. No, really… it’s funny! I live in south Florida - there’s a slight possibility of an ostrich, flamingo, or golden eagle at my backyard bird feeder but it’s a lot more likely that I get blue jays, grackles, and cardinals. I’ve actually really enjoyed all of the different combinations of birds that are “detected” at my feeder. I think with time and updates to the camera’s AI bird identification software it’ll improve.
In the meantime, I’m going to enjoy watching the ostriches in my backyard!
PS. The solar panel is really great and I haven’t had to charge the camera since it’s initial install 8 days ago. Highly recommend.
noekula
I love this camera! I love that I can charge it and that it can last forever on a single charge. I love how responsive it is to motion alerts and how great it is at recognizing birds! It’s made my summer a lot more fun.
JDiBs
This bird feeder is pretty cool, very easy to setup.
I’ve had it up and running for 3 or 4 days now and noticed a few things.
The image is great, the video is nice but the recordings are a bit choppy. One second the bird is there and suddenly just disappears.
The AI has been mostly incorrect but I hear they working on correctly that feature which is nice.
My biggest complaint so far and the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars, while the battery life is great I do not want to take it down to charge from time to time so I ordered it with the solar panel to keep it always charged. The first day the solar panel did its job but the next few days I started noticing the camera was offline. I checked it out, unplugged the solar panel and it came back online. As soon as I plug in the solar panel again it goes out. I reached out to customer service who said that is normal behavior for the camera to go offline while charging. I questioned him and asked what the point was of a solar panel if it would just keep the camera offline the whole time. The tech kindly escalated it to level 2 support who contacted me next day. No explanation as to what the problem is but they are sending me a replacement which is nice.
Overall the feeder is great and customer service, while some incorrect info was provided, has been great as well.

This camera has potential of being a very easy install for capturing and identifying birds. Yes, it will tell you what a certain type of bird is in front of the camera (i.e., feeding on seed). I have Quail, Dove, Stellar Jay, and a couple others in the area and it knew them. I noted it will identify more than one at a time when several birds arrive simultaneously. It has an easy reporting feature for you to tell what the bird really is or just say it is wrong. (Note, sometimes when the bird was looking away or some peculiar angle the Birdfy camera would get it wrong. It does correct if bird moves in a different view of.)
Because the camera is battery powered you can easily install anywhere. It has a long battery life (if initially charged fully). There is an icon to show at all times what the charge is at. Camera also has a power connector that can be used for solar power. Netvue sells combinations of the Birdfy camera: alone, with an external solar panel, inside a cute bird feeding platform.
BTW, Netvue has great support. I have several of their cameras, and they have always been there promptly and helpfully.
EA Southeast
Four interpretations of the same bird in a ten second video captured this morning. None of them are correct. Trigger time is decent. Nice video and sound quality. I'm not sad I bought it. I'm getting to see what I've been missing.
Jennifer K. Arr
I found this camera to be much easier to set up and begin using than others that I've tried, and the battery life is definitely longer, too, which means a lot more bird-watching and fewer trips to the charging station.
M. B
Really like this. Clear videos and pictures! I recommend!
Diane
I love my Netvue camera. It does a great job of capturing movement. Once I set up the camera, I was getting smaller birds. However few days later I was seeing Northern Cardinals, BlueJays beautiful woodpeckers, finches, chickadees and more.
Robert & Lisa R
5 stars for technical assistance. This camera must be very close to the birds. Excellent quality video and motion detection. Pictures are snippets taken from video so they are not great. Bird identification is more comical than accurate. This could be improved with purchase of the kit that would limit external camera subjects. Using my own bird feeder system, the camera kept identifying my red dish as a scarlet ibis. My squirrel baffle was a black swan. These errors made me smile; I wish I could see a flamingo or ostrich (the cat) in my yard! The tool does allow customizing for sensitivity, sleep mode, etc. You can enter feedback to improve the bird identification. Effortless entertainment. I do like that portability option; I might try the bird bath area next. Also a great security bonus as I can monitor my walkway and the birds!
Ashley Boynes-Shuck
The camera takes amazing videos of birds and has been SUCH a joy. Anna from the Netvue support team has also provided some great troubleshooting and customer care! Great customer service for users and a nifty product. So fun; would recommend
Cayleigh Tralongo
Would recommend this camera for anyone wanting to get a little dose of what's going on outside. Great camera with good battery life. Bought this camera to replace my Netvue Vigil camera out in my chicken coop because of its rechargeable battery and its ability to hook into a solar panel.
Camera shipped quickly and showed up in a small box. It was very easy to get set up on my phone app and does well with the Wifi Signal, even far away from the house. Also allows me to see what's going on when I am away from home and that is very helpful.
Has a good picture and you can change between SD and HD modes, though there isn't much of a difference with it trying to keep an eye on constantly moving birds. Enjoy the white light feature to be able to turn on at night in case I need to see something I'm concerned about and can't quite make out with the Night Vision Setting.
Motion detection works for what I need it to do, which is mainly know when the chickens come running out their coop in the morning or to make sure that predators aren't nearby at night. Will not be using the Alarm feature, but tested it out and it is quite loud and will get the job done.
The AI is a little tricky and I think with several software upgrades it will get to where it needs to be. Down in my chicken coop it has extreme difficulties realizing that the ground birds are indeed chickens. When I first got the camera I tried it up on my front porch and it had no problems identifying common Finches and Cardinals.

The camera quality is great! Imo and Battery time last forever I just didn’t have luck recording any birds in my patio they always are around but now they don’t want to come ?? so I took it down and put it on my living room while I think of another place where to mount, and for some weird reason it keeps detecting birds my living room ?? for example a ivory gull, a common house Martin but there are no birds in my inside house unless the camera can see paranormal bird activity. I think the birdfy camera the bird feeder with built in camera would definitely be better I just hope the price could be more affordable.
Noel Taylor
I set up my Birdfy at my pond, since I get tons of birds there, but it caught deer ??instead??, now I know who’s been eating my flowers????
Otterattic
Great little camera. Not using it for AI, but looking forward to getting the feeder with the camera.
R. Spoerry
Easy set up. Great picture detail. Love the bird identification feature, with some errors, but reference pages are linked so you can determine the correct name. Motion sensor very sensitivity, the first day after I installed it I got a lot of pictures when the wind moved the bird feeder with no birds. After adjusting for birds and people only and adjusting the sensitivity it worked much better. I think I should have gotten the bird feeder from Netvue with the camera but they don’t at this time sell it separately. The separate non Netvue bird feeder blocks some of the views of the birds. Love it.
Richard Soedler
I’ve had the camera up and running for about a week and a half now. The install was simple enough. I did have to get creative with placing this on my tower feeder, as there aren’t any close anchor points. The image and video quality are actually very clear and the sound is also excellent. I was able to install an SD card to record the motion events. Overall, I can’t really complain about the operation . I use other Netvue devices for security and this one has been just as good. The battery life has also been longer than expected and does charge fairly quickly. Now the only thing that I can find wrong is not in the operation but the AI that identifies the birds themselves. Birds such as the cardinal, that have very unique colors and identifying markers were tagged correctly every time. Other birds that share a certain feather pattern or a feature similar to another type of bird were often misidentified. Netvue is apparently working to correct this flaw. Overall, it’s a great product for those who want to get up close and personal with the birds in the area.
Ann
Love this camera. Bought it to replace my Netvue Vigil Camera down in my chicken coop because it has a rechargeable battery. This is my go to chicken watching camera and my friends love it too!
It was very easy to set up and get going. When I received it, the battery was only at 65%. I was to excited to try it so I didn't even charge it and the camera lasted for 4 days before I gave it its first charge! The sleep setting is a great tool for setting a schedule and conserving the battery life as well.
The image is very clear, even with the camera at the very edge of my wi-fi signal. I live in they country and have the chicken's pretty far from my house but I can still watch them in real time and HD. Nightvision is clear and appreciate the ability to use white light in case I do need to see in color into the coop at night time.
Sound quality is good and I do occasionally use the speech button to talk to the chickens. They like to hide and so I call to them to see where they come running from. My friend's little girl loves to watch the chickens before bed and she talks to them like they are best friends. SO CUTE!
Motion detection is on point and I appreciate that I can lock out certain pixel areas of the screen for the camera to not trigger. There are several things in the coop that move from the wind that otherwise would set the motion detection off when it doesn't need to. I mainly rely on motion detection in the early morning to know when the chickens are getting up, or at night to make sure a predator doesn't try to get in for a late night snack.
Alarm setting is available but not something that I intend to use. I will say that if someone does utilize it, the alarm is nice and loud.
Finally the AI feature is really unique. I first tried the camera out on my front porch and it did a fairly good job of recognizing people, and different types of finches and cardinals that come up to my feeders. Down near the chickens it is inaccurate, but that doesn't bother me simply because they are young chickens constantly growing and moving so i can see how it would be difficult to consistently identify them.

Amazing product exactly how it is advertised. The camera shows me what type of birds came up to my bird feeder! It was super easy to setup and the camera quality pretty good. I would definitely recommend this product.
Michael Weidman
Setup was a breeze. Had this camera mounted and streaming in under 15 minutes. We've been using this for a little more than a week now and have been suprised at the quality of some of our captures! As others have noted, the A.I. detection is a bit off (and at times comical), however, it will typically give you a couple of suggested identifications, with one of them usually being correct. Its also clear that the Netvue team is working hard behind the scenes to fine-tune their A.I. algorythm which makes me optimistic that this software will improve over time. I haven't charged the unit yet but did notice this morning that it was running low (doubt it came fully charged), so can't speak to battery life yet. Motion detection works well. I have the sensitivity set to "low" given the location of the camera on our back patio. All in all, its a quality and capable wireless camera! And my wife (who is often critical of the "need" for certain tech around the house) absolutely loves it!
Tuggins
This wifi camera is simple to setup light weight and offers HD quality.
I appreciate being notified by message on my phone when movement is detected when im at home or not ! I can even speak with them without ever going to the door or being at home. It has other features such as sensing movement and triggering siren noise from the camera. Great for detouring problems BEFORE they happen !
Convenience is key
Nice work netvue !

We just got the bird cam the other day to start watching our birds in the yard. We have it installed to watch a new nest we have seen birds landing in recently. We are still waiting to find the best spot for it to capture the most activity but setup was easy (especially liked that they give you a sticker special for marking where your screws will mount made sure I only had to drill each hole once for it to be accurate.) can’t wait for more birds to start filling up our birdhouses so we can get more footage!
Yasmin Eid
This birdcam by Netvue is amazing!!! Highly recommend, especially if you have children who love nature this camera captures over 6,000 different species of birds! This is not my first time buying from Netvue. I’ve bought two different camera previously a couple of years ago and have never turned to any other camera company! Super reliable, great quality not only in the day time but at night time as well. Definitely worth it!
Talismic
Bought this for bird viewing and can be used for monitoring outside the house too. Its a wide angle camera and covers a good area. It's battery-operated and wireless and so could be used in multiple ways. Although its yet to detect any birds for me. Tested it in rain and outside the house and is still functioning. The only thing is it uses only 2.4 GHZ wireless and is 1080P not 4K. Overall a decent camera.
Nate
I've had plenty of motion security cameras in the past, but nothing like this amazing technology! I've been at my residence for nearly 2 years and always believed there was what sounded like an owl hooting near my window at around 6am...it wasn't until I setup my birdfy cam that I realized it was indeed a band-tailed pigeon! This thing was amazing and the start of a new hobby!
Homeward Bound
Just set this up! Can’t wait to capture that owl we keep hearing, the woodpeckers and those hummers we love!
Haley
Love it! Thank you, Netvue!
Sara Molina
This was truly my first wow moment when the video cam captured the first bird and the city view. Quite breathtaking and can’t wait to see more just like those or better. Highly recommend the video camera because of its ability to capture motion just like this. ????
GabbyG
I am amazed by the AI recognition feature of Birdfy. It detects the coming birds and let me know the name of the birds. That’s really cool. It also records the coming birds automatically for me so I don’t have to check my phone all the time during the day. Whenever I want, I just open the Netvue app and take a look. It is much a better experience with birdwatching. I love it a lot!
Sabrina
Eventually got my Birdfy Feeder Cam setup on a snow day! Highly recommend if you are looking for a backyard smart bird feeder camera. I think my birds love this. They come and go. Birdfy tells me what type of birds are coming with time stamp. It is just so amazing. Enjoy this a lot in the early spring snowy day :-)

I was a BETA Tester & a BirdBuddy Backer & after receiving my Birdfy - I can say that they are Two VERY DIFFERENT Products! I have now set up my Birdfy & it is AWESOME! It’s intuitive, clever & is a great way to be able to become a novice or professional ornithologist! The Picture/Video Quality is excellent & the recognition of Bird’s is ‘spot on!’ I highly recommend the Birdfy, from the Packaging To The Design Of Birdfy it is an excellent & classy piece of kit! It also always gets rid of the Pesky Squirrels!!
We were unsure where to place the Birdfy as we have two existing Bird Feeding Stations - The best place is outside the Lounge Window as we a get a greater variety of Birds there & they are a joy to watch. It really is worth the money - you won’t be disappointed. You certainly need not to worry about Delivery of this Reward as I have received mine already, even if it is a BETA Version.
My only regret is that the Person who I originally Purchased this for sadly passed away two weeks ago but we have decided to donate this Birdfy to his young family that are left after this tragedy.
Good Luck With Your Birdfy - You Won’t Be Disappointed!
Stay Safe.

Hi again
I got LOTS of videos captured yesterday (only day 3 of having the Birdfy in my garden). I have shared them to my facebook with the same tags and I made a separate album there to store them.
The AI has also started working showing the names of birds So far so good
I’m looking forward to more again today!
Thanks again,
Gene

Hey team!
I have also received the Birdfy!
Since the bird feeder arrived, it felt like we have some more family members joining us! It has also become a more vivid topic that I can chat with my son about. My family has one more thing - the lovely birds live streaming - to keep an eye on!
We have it set up in the backyard. And when we are not at home, we couldn’t help thinking about our lovely little feather kids… Are they coming to Birdfy? Are they hungry? Are they happy with the food?
OMG it was just so much fun with Birdfy!! Thank you so so much for picking me as the beta tester!
I was chatting with my son that when you are enjoying Thanksgiving…don’t forget the little birds are also having their thanksgiving….
Feeling like we have a much better way to access and connect to nature with Birdfy!
So much fun
Richard
